Pathways Research Ltd develops health education materials and tools to help people reduce their alcohol and cannabis use to lower risk levels. Our evidence-based workbooks have been shaped by consultations with healthcare and addiction professionals. The workbooks follow motivational interviewing steps and are designed to be used as part of brief intervention counseling sessions or by individual users on their own. Each workbook also includes a tool for self-screening and a summary of lower risk alcohol or cannabis use guidelines.
Pathways Research is led by David Brown (PhD) who has over 15 years of experience in implementation research, clinical trials and policy analysis on primary health care screening and brief interventions for risky drinking. David spent 9 years as an associate professor at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada before working as a research scientist at the University of Wisconsin, a policy analyst in Vancouver for the province of British Columbia, and as Director of Research and Evaluation for the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba.
Our cannabis and alcohol use reduction (brief intervention) workbooks have been designed with a professional graphic artist to feel welcoming and non-judgemental. These compact, 34-page books are an invaluable resource in working towards education and implementation of healthy interaction with alcohol and cannabis for any organization looking to promote health and wellness in their members.
